Our first week of forest kindergarten was a blast! We discussed making choices to stay safe, trail and classroom procedures and showing respect to each other and nature. Students painted mud portraits, did some bean art, listened to stories, participated in morning meetings, began signing the alphabet, and drew in their journals. We've been very impressed with student's problem solving abilities and the way they've shown kindness to one another.
We are off to a great start with our camping toilet and are excited to now have a sink with soap as well. We have had so much fun playing with each other and exploring our environment!
We were blown away today when we checked the Amazon wish list. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your incredible generosity in supporting our outdoor classroom!! I haven't needed to do a list like this in the past but what with all the $$ the school had to spend this year to get up and running and Covid prepared I felt that some purchases needed to wait. I know the kids are going to be so excited to see what's coming.
FYI- your child can keep their handwriting and Math books at home for now. Please send in an empty TP roll with your child next week if possible.
We love your kids!
