This week we travelled up the trail looking for the outdoor classroom but stopped along the way for some writer's workshop time since that classroom isn't the easiest to find. We had fun with our fifth grade buddies reading outside and enjoyed using feathers for our new poem this week and also used them for Math time for observing, playing and sorting different ways.
Thank you to Pearl's mom, Andrejka for doing Harvest of the Month with us and bringing lots of delicious carrots and things made with carrots. I attached a recipe for her carrot salad to the email. So good!
Please note that the picture form says Sept. 26th but the actual day is Sept. 30th (Monday). Please send in money if you would like to purchase photos.
Ms. Chris will be taking charge for me on Monday as I will be on Balboa Island in Newport Beach celebrating my mom's 80th birthday with her and lots of family members. We are really excited about the big bash we are throwing her! I will see you on Tuesday.
Independent Study for Friday, September 27th- if you are not including all work in your child's folder, please write me a note about what he/she did. Thanks!
