Dear Parents,
It was a busy week making gingerbread cookies, graphing how we ate them, measuring how many gingerbread people tall we are and acting out the story. We had a nice little gift exchange with hot peppermint tea (just like Santa in Dream Snow) and cookies then students wandered around to other classrooms checking out the activities and displays for our Holidays Around The World event. Many thanks to Kirsten and Korin for their help! Last week we had our visit to the long term care facility at Tahoe Forest Hospital and I realize I neglected to mention it in last week's update. It was a great experience and students really put themselves out there introducing themselves to the seniors and asking them questions. Thank you SO much to Kathleen for organizing everything and bringing all the materials for our snowman craft we made for the seniors and for all the parent drivers! I will try to forward Cynthia's wonderful pictures.
Reminders:
Independent Study for Friday, Dec. 20th- if you are not including all work in your child's folder, please write me a note about what he/she did. Thanks!
