Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to our Back to School Night! It was good to see you and talk about how we spend our days in K and other fun things like I.S. and book orders.
This week we had a ball with apples! Students did a lot of close examinations of the different ones so that they could do some accurate sorting, drawing, and weighing. We experienced the apples with our five senses and really had fun making apple sauce. I totally forgot to peel the apples before I started cutting them up and then figured the kids wouldn't really like it. I was so wrong - they actually loved it and ate every bit. Not to say they might have thought it was even better if I HAD peeled those apples. We wrote the recipe in words and pictures and they chose which version to write down. Very simple - apples, water, cinnamon, - cook till soft and mash. Thank you so much for sending in the apples!
Thank you for staying informed!
